Design together in tactile.space
ID ♥︎ UX
Is your ID and UX in sync? Can the design team – and the client – understand the interaction flow? How does it all come together? How do we communicate this across physical models, interaction state maps, and the brand system?
What if we could prototype tactile interactions together, quicker, earlier, with lower effort, and while we’re at it, explore more design options?
At our best, all of us, ID, UX, Brand, and Strategy have the same goals in designing the next great hardware product. We express those in a unified physical gesture: a beautiful form with intuitive user interactions. A product that’s enjoyable to use. With material and interactive design choices that convey the purpose and values of a brand.
Until now, these have been hard to convey holistically without building interactive hardware prototypes with embedded electronics.
tactile.space is a hardware platform that extends Apple Vision Pro to add interactive tactile experiences of product prototypes, bringing interaction to form.
A decade of experience in designing new consumer hardware, from wearables, to connected robotic furniture, to environments with ambient computing inspires a new system for unifying this multidisciplinary work.
Currently, we’re talking with design teams to understand how this system can help them rapidly prototype new products in tactile.space, and what we need to add to make it truly indispensable.
Are you designing consumer electronics, home automation, or other interactive hardware products? We’d love to hear from you!
